Bipolar Behavior

   Posted by:    in Uncategorized

Bipolar disorder symptoms can vary from person to person but it depends on what kind of bipolar they have and the episodes that they are facing. Every person that suffers from bipolar disorder will have a different attitude or symptoms that are shown because it is truly unique for each person. So this means that dealing with the disorder is not that simple as you don’t always know what you are dealing with since everyone is different.

Bipolar disorder can haunt both genders and is not biased but it is found that females will have more regular episodes and rapider mood swings. Age does not have that much of a matter of who gets it but the usual age sits around twenty-five years old but it has been seen to affect youngsters and teenagers, as well as elders so you can’t set it to one age group. It is also believed that there may be a genetic link to it as well so it could pass through the family.

These people usually live with a roller coaster mind and can go from feeling really good one minute to terrible the next. Usually it’s not that active that the mood changes occur but a mood swing will lead to a full episode which could last a while depending on what kind of episode it is.

None of the behaviors associated with the bipolar disorder are normal obviously and they can modify the patient’s career and relationships pretty easily and can cause a lot of stress because of their behavior which is virtually uncontrollable. The behavior that people with bipolar disorder have doesn’t just affect them but it will put a large emotional stress to their family and friends around them as well and can lead to financial stress also.

The two main types of bipolar disorder would be mania and depression and these are basically the two extremes of behaviors caused by the bipolar disorder. The person with the bipolar disorder could also have their behavior anywhere between these two extremes. If they are going through a manic episode, it’s hard to predict what they are about to do and they act like their actions hold no responsibilities and somewhat childish in some cases. This can be a very big problem and puts themselves and others at risk, while maybe not as physically as the depressive episodes would, but emotionally and financially especially.

A lot of people may resort to drinking a lot of alcohol, regular drug usage, and getting into irregular sexual activities (as well as some very weird fantasies) but these are just some of the more severe symptoms that may show as it is common for someone in the mania phase to grow an addiction in something that isn’t really great for them.

When they end up turning to a depressive episode, this is where the psychology kicks in. they could be hearing voices that aren’t really around them, hallucinating, and even think that they hold superhuman powers. Rapid mood swings to the extreme can also occur so they can go from very happy to suicidal in a matter of seconds.

If you are suffering from bipolar disorder, it is not easy to go through with a normal lifestyle if you are living with the very extreme and rapid mood swings that are associated with the disorder. A lot of people that actually suffer from bipolar disorder don’t even know that they have it (usually the mood swings aren’t as severe though) and in many cases even if they go to the doctor, they end up getting a misdiagnosis.

Quite a few people live somewhat normal lifestyles with bipolar disorder without knowing that they have it. They pretty much believe that it’s just normal and don’t think that there is anything weird about it so they adjust themselves accordingly.
